Shooter was a gentle well mannered stud. He was just coming into himself when sadly he died. We started breeding him in 2003, so we have three years of foals out of him. It was a joy to watch him Glide across the field in his broodmare pasture below my house. He could move and made it look effortless, he has passed this all on to his foals |

Pedigree for Kind of Moving1979 stallion
1966. By Hall of Fame stallion Top Moon and out of Hall of Fame mare FL Lady Bug. AAT, SW, SI 100, 23-11-5-3, $191,536. Superior Race Horse and one of the greatest sires of Quarter running horses. 966 registered foals, 770 starters, 502 ROM, 3 AQHA Champions, offspring earnings of over $4 million. His daughter Rose Bug won the All American Derby Consolation (1974) and produced First Prize Rose, the dam of world champion and leading sire First Down Dash Son Shawne Bug became Lady Bugs Moon's top money-winner. Died in 1995.
1960. SI 100. AQHA Hall of Fame Inductee, 1999. Ran out $40,637. Top Moon was bred like Jet Deck: Both were 1960 sons of Moon Deck and out of Barred daughters. Both grew up bucking and racing in the same pasture. Top Moon produced two All-American Futurity winners: Bugs Alive In 75, and Moon Lark. There was almost a third when Lady Bug's Moon finished second to Three Oh's in 1968
1950-74. AQHA Hall of Fame race horse by Top Deck TB. Established one of Top Deck's most prominent family branches. Out of Moonlight Night, by Peace Pipe TB. Carter began breeding him to his Barred mares, and to this day, the Moon Deck/Miss Night Bar cross is still touted as one of the most successful in racing industry's history. Two of his most important sons were Top Moon and Jet Deck. |
